Craiova is a city in Romania, in the Oltenia region, the administrative center of the county of Dolzh. The population of the municipality is 304,142 thousand inhabitants. According to the 2002 census, 97.48% of the population are Romanians, 1.5% are Roma, 1% are other nationalities. Most of the residents are Orthodox Christians.
