This nomenclature has been gradually changed because of the origin of the expression. Some furniture manufacturers have even abolished the use of the term and started to use only bedside tables.
There are several different models of mobile. They are usually made of solid wood or MDF, but can also be made of metal, glass and acrylic. Some with drawers or just niches to hold objects. Many also have casters for easy movement. There are also models that are like shelves and are fixed to the wall.
